Can I export my designs from CreativeStudio to MySawgrass?
Yes, you can now export existing designs from CreativeStudio and use them seamlessly in Sawgrass Print Utility. This functionality allows you to print your products directly or download them as PNG files to upload to the MySawgrass tool.

Why not develop these features in CreativeStudio and Print Manager?
The existing platform is not suitable for further development and does not accommodate users’ needs effectively. The new platform is built with advanced technology, allowing for long-term upgrades and flexibility.

Instructions for Saving Graphics and Transitioning to the New Platform:

1. Open CreativeStudio and select Creations (Creations).
2. Open the folder and select the design you wish to open and export.
3. Once the design loads, click the Export (Export) button to save the file to your computer.

5. Open Sawgrass Print Utility, select Create (Create) and then Add Files (Add Files).

6. Locate and select the Sawgrass file that we just exported from CreativeStudio.

7. The exported design will now load as a task. From here, you have two options:

Since the uploaded PNG file will have a white background, you can use the Remove Colour (Remove Colour) tool to eliminate the white parts of the image. For more information, see the guide How to Remove Colour from an Image (How to Remove Colour from an Image ).

Note: You can only export one creation at a time from CreativeStudio. If you want to export multiple creations, you will need to repeat the steps above.

Slovenian company Gajcom is primarily recognized in the market for providing various printing solutions for all types of T-shirts. As Mrs. Darja Kaltnekar, CEO of Gajcom, told us, the emphasis on T-shirts, as well as other promotional products, has been on top quality for 30 years.

However, in addition to T-shirts and other promo products, at the Print21 & PromoDays fair, they also presented their segment of business related to sublimation.This involves the established sublimation system concept from Sawgrass, sublimation photopanels for outdoor advertising from ChromaLuxe, and small, premium promotional sublimation products from Unisub.

They introduced sublimation into their business at the request of some clients who needed it.
They are representatives for Sawgrass sublimation printers. These are A3 and A4 printers that, despite their small size, produce high-quality products with vibrant colors and excellent durability. These are closed systems (gel jet), which are easy to use and maintain.
What is also important to clients, she tells us, is the fact that the colors come in cartridges that do not allow air, so there is no fear of drying out.

When it comes to Chromaluxe photo panels, which they also represent, as we wrote in last week’s newsletter, sublimation leads out of the frame. For this reason, sublimation is increasingly being used on rigid substrates. Chromaluxe aluminum photo panels are excellent for both outdoor and indoor signage. Which tools do you need at the beginning?

• products (cup, t-shirt, magnet, clock, keychain, pillow with cover, etc.)
• transfers (made on a Sawgrass printer and TruePix paper)

Press

A heat press is crucial for ensuring print quality. You can find our selection of heat presses here.

Heat presses for sublimation must ensure an even distribution of heating elements across the entire surface. The heating surface must be larger than the print area, and for sublimation printing, you need a press that allows for a longer pressing time – usually up to 180 seconds is sufficient.

We recommend that the sublimation press does not open automatically, but instead, it should be opened and closed manually. Automatic opening creates a vacuum when lifting, which can cause the transfer to shift, ruining the print.

Panels made from compact MDF boards with a coating for high-quality sublimation are ideal for intuitive and unique decoration of business and private spaces.

The ingenious design and size allow for endless combinations, adaptable to different spaces, without causing any damage to the wall. For wall arrangement, you don’t need nails or any other tools. Simply use the ChromaLuxe adhesive system. Adhesive foam is available in size 50×50 cm, and individual pieces are also available, packaged in packs of 20 sheets.

Special markings allow easy cutting to the correct dimensions, tailored to different panel shapes. The side you attach to the panel will remain firmly attached. The side you lean against the wall can be removed and repositioned without leaving unwanted marks on the wall.

The adhesive foam can withstand a load of 0.2 kg per square meter. Apply it to a cleaned surface. It can be repositioned multiple times.
